Little King's story is a great new RPG made for the wii made by xseed games. Though at first it may look quite simplistic and childish, this game can get quite intense and has many challenges that will make you keep coming back for more. It has a great role playing and strategic experience with some epic boss battles which are always fun.

You begin as a ruler in a small hut and are called to defeat some enemies that are preventing you from expanding your kingdom. You head out with your trusty sidekick Howser and your steed Poncho. You begin with tutorials on how to rule your empire and such. The game is a mix of role playing with strategy. You deal with threats by creating different combinations of groups of men with different functions to complete tasks.

You then get to choose to create farmers(good at digging treasure) or soldiers(good at fighting). After you have a good force, you go up against the first guardian(mini boss). You then get the options to create more units such as hunters(ranged attack) and carpenters to create stairs and walls and such. Later on you get access to more units like lumberjacks to cut down trees and miners to mine precious ores.

Combat at first is quite simple. You start off with very few weapons. You send out your farmers and soldiers to annihilate the enemy with swords and shovels. Hunters sadly only have limited ammunition so you have to use them sparingly. This makes you think and create different tactics. Thankfully, units killed in battle, are sent back to you the following next day by mysteriously "washing up on shore". Occasionally some units won't be able to be caught and will be whisked off to sea where they will never be seen again.

The controls in the game are quite simple. You use the nunchuk for targetting and movement. The buttons on the wii remote lets you send subjects out, call them back in, add to your team if you're short, or change their formation. This is really a great control system and makes playing the game much easier.

There are three types of fights in the game. The first is guardian fights. These guys are generally more powerful than the monsters roaming around the plains and you'll have to think to defeat them. The second type of fight are small encounters against pretty strong monsters with bounties on your head. These help raise money and give a good amount of content to the game. The last types of fights are against fights with other kings(bosses). This is actually really fun as each boss gives a different fight.

The story isn't great and it is slightly weak. But still even with that the game still delivers a great gameplay experience. I would recommend this game to all gamers as this is a great game to play and it delivers unique yet fun gameplay.

For me Little King's story was all right, but it was just too easy and a little boring. At first, all you do is harvest wood to get enough money to actually do something. Also, all the bosses are really easy as well. Though it's fun if you have younger kids, or you just wanna kill some time.

I haven't played the game but I can say that judging by the review this is a fantastic game. It is a work of art and a real gamers game and this game looks amazing and I am glad to see the wii get a good exclusive. I must say that it is very nice to hear about a great game that's coming out just for the wii. I can not wait to play this.
